Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

They are orpy's. The eggs we purchased are from NY and she doesn't have barred or cuckoo anything. Orpy's and silkies only. There is no mistake on the breed. Isn't it weird?
Also, if you look closely at the one roo with his back to us, you can see the fluffy, fuzzy, butt feathers that the orpys have. It's crazy, we've been in close contact with the seller and showing her pics as they have gotten bigger.

Do they have both black and white? And could they have been together? If they have a white rooster over a black hen and the rooster carries cuckoo then you could get cuckoo hens.

This is along the lines of what I wondered. What were these little cuckoos supposed to be?

Still doesn't explain the yellow legs and beak?? The only way that is going to happen is if something else is in there even if it is in the background.

Maybe ask the seller where she got her stock?? Yellow can pop up but it's definitely from an outcross in the line.

Could be a Barred Rock mix. I don't see Orp type in that cockerel's butt. It is not that fluffy or fuzzy. Much more stiffer feathered then most on this site. Very narrow butt which is seen more in production type. Could be a bad pose for that pic. Time will tell on the leg color.
Not every Orp I hatch out has great type either. You need to hatch out at least 30 to get one which would satisfy the judges at a show.

This cockerel is close to the age of yours. This is more what most will see in Orps they get here in the USA.

Yes she does have white and black, along with lavendar, splash and blue. Her orginial lavendar stock is from Hinkjc Farm, a few of which last year produced the barring. She said he is pure orpy, from Hinkjc Bloodline. Her roos are lav splits, one is a blue and the other is black, both are off spring from her old lav roo who was directly from hinkjc. Her girls are blue, splash, lavender and white. She sent us a copy of her NPIP with the eggs.

Most likely from hinklc's Lavender project line of Orps. hinkjc has made it very clear when selling her Lavs that they are "PROJECT" line of Orps. It will take some time before they can be called "PURE ORPS"
I refer you to the Lavender Orpington thread to educate yourself on this ongoing project. Look at post 65. That post was by the Lav thread starter. So what you have is a CUCKOO PROJECT birds.

What about her other color of orps, these are not from the lavender project. Maybe something is hiding behind one of her hens?? Just fyi, being NPIP doesn't mean the orps are "pure" orps, just means she has been tested Pullorum Typhoid free.
