Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

showing chickens should be fun and relaxing..it is a food product..it shouldnt be so hard, and maybe more people would go out and enjoy shows if there wernt so much unwarrented arrogance, and everyone is just a string under somone elses goodyear baloon.. it doesnt matter if i win or loose , i have met life long freinds there and wont quit for any reason.there is nothing in the world like a huge Bob W bear hugg at a show...i have done pleanty of both (winning and loosing)..as have othere people here..some of these additudes are the reason certian breeds are having to be re- created in the first place..they are not being promoted, people are turned off by the smuggness..once you get in the ring, its a competition, once your out of that ring..not necessary to be horrible to people and a big braggioso....people get started then get discouraged because of lack of help and supporting each other..i am a person who frankly doesnt care what anyone thinks..im going to buy and breed birds that appeal to me...and enjoy every minute of the shows.
vickie you come on up and stay right in this cabin when your ready and go on the tour de force chicken showin, from rochester to sayracuse to buffalo to coboskill to ohio..MD has some nice ones
a little finger lakes wine tour inbetween..your a wonderful person, my birds recently were trashed by somone ut hum, its Ok for some people to comment on peoples birds but somone comment on thiers and look out, can dish it out but cant take it.. and do I care what they think?...not for one second, it just shows tremendous insecurity and a constant need to reflect that .

Mine are a little young this year too Vickie, got a late start due to work schedule..Thou very big . I will always put the health and welfare of them first, thou things can happen in a blink , like a freinds show flock was just wiped out by racoon attack..that band of marauders opened cages that I had a hard time opening....we are all consoling her right now..so sad , she put so many years into her flock...I still have med water out because the blue is still recovering from racoon attack..thou despite huge scare under wing , you would never know anything happened..everytime I straighten that temp stomp fence up, a strong storm blows through and blows tree branch bits into it..I cant wait to get that permanent fence built. some of the ones I have arnt gonna get whacked..Cost way too much and I like them way too much..

Lynnie,
Love that GREEN sheen on your birds ! That's what makes an otherwise nice black, a really good one.Who knows...we may just take a road trip up to see you!

Thank you Vickie..It would be a blast..they are well loved birds. We have 2 guest areas under construction..as well as the new barn should start to come together pretty soon, husband is contractor so he sometimes comes home with interesting architectual details like this thing he removed from a building thou this was a modern addition to the building it is a composite. He told his freind he better throw it quick because If I see it, I will want it painted and put it in or on the barn somewhere..too late, I saw it......here are roof trusses awaiting the contractor also. He just needs 2 minutes to work on things here..ten acres and peace and quiet .the road is 1/4 mile top to bottom..

I apologize for my quoting what a friend of mine said about the "CUT AWAY BREAST" thing. Obviously I am trying to not only defend my breeding program but also trying to help those who may not know what is and isn't a good breast.
To anyone who cares, you can PM me and I will give you what the APA judge said. What was said is best for PM's only.
Again I apaologize for the dozen of so folks who read this email quote.

So, speaking of young birds. Here are 2 young young Mid May hatches who, like my 5 month old Black pullet, are well on their way to becoming permanent members in my breeding program.
