Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Terrible news, the primrary school hens were all killed by something, 3 with head ripped off, two pulled under the fence and one missing, so sad the poor babies :(, i went over to look before and there was loads of feathers and the bodies burning away.

Sorry to hear about the chickens. They were very pretty. BTW, what is a "stout"?

if i catch a stoat in my field i will happily let my jack russel go after it. The school are going to get some more hens to put there coz the head mistress has loads!

oh so sad John, i lost my best birds to weasles, found the same thing..faces eaten off, heads gone..babies all torn up, all in one night..i have never had a problem with weasles until this year..but they cannot get in the barn anymore..i was so upset when i walked into the barn in the morning..i cant beleive an animal small enough to fit through a chicken wire hole can do so much damage to such large birds..that is how boo boo got his name, he was a sole survivor in one pen but very bad injurys, he survived but it was touchy for a long time....they crawled up under the blk cockerals wing and just started eating him, but he must have fought back hard becsuse his toenail broke off.had injurys up under wing...saddest part was he was laying on top of his pullet looking her up and down for her face..saddest thing ive ever seen..he barley ate anything for 2 weeks.i have pictures of him looking so depressed..now if those birds hear any animal that makes a squeek noise they go a little crazy...
dreadful little animal to poultry keepers..they can get into poultry shed through very small holes..
