Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

That was the best one I have ever seen Lynn... Thank you... I probably would have pinched the spur too tight and ripped off that piece of meat if I had tried to do this without seeing this video first. Great Tool!
Lynn and Renie, on the orp club board there is a thread on doing spurs with a hot tator, I can't remember who did it, maybe Christina. If you can't find it we will ask someone that knows. Harry might remember or Bill.

As I remember it has something to do with a baked potato and twist. I use a wire cutter to just nub off the end of the spur then some sanding to smooth the spur

Thanks Don..worth a look..My australorp rooster could kill somone with the daggers he had..and they were super sharp on the ends too..looked like 2 big hypodermics..He actually pulled a spur cap off from one leg the other day lord knows how.. so now he has 1 bad dagger..I need to fix that...

Bill, do you think males that have been showed are more rougher males? I always keep them in there own pen by the self. When I cut the feathers and put in breeding pens they are pretty rough. It might be I make mine males like that.

With Chickens John..thats OK..I wish you could find a nice rooster..is there any shows around you? sometimes they sell extras for a good price
Its not really the fact of not being able to get one its because ive already got two :/

You probably know what you can do about that. I understand reluctance at not wanting to upset the apple cart, but those girls deserve a nice boy. Their breed. You have no idea how nice they are. Bella and her mother. Though we all fell in love with Bella first and she is very, very, very, OH MY GOODNESS NICE. She's better than might think.
