I had a hard time keeping the LF males I got alive when I first got started, the whole time I had him he was light like that though.

I love your Roo! Was he always so light colored or has it faded?

I think this link on the REAL number of chromosomes that chickens got lost in the mix last nite.
Chickens have 39 chromosomes. This Wiki link will make sure we have the correct info. Also you can go to a Penn State site which also says there are two sets of 39.
For a total of 78

Bill..I am not bothering you...In the past you hurt my feelings really bad and my freind jen too..over time I let it go..all but forgot about it...I dont say anything to you because every thing I say is scewed .. im not sure weather you are aware of it but you can be quite insulting and mean ..maybe you dont mean to be...Ive even thought maybe hes just proud of himself...I thought you were my freind..I might have liked to get to know allem amerell too..I didnt want any of his chickens, didnt want anything from him , just be neighborly..there is a group of us that get together have a good time, including a retired police cheif that used to show bantams .. thought time to time he might like to partake..thats all..I was kind of made to feel like Im not go near him..maybe you didnt mean the way I took it..but the way it came off , it was hurtful..

So many times I want to say what a nice bird you have there..but you get so mean to me, I just flip on by...You could have a lot of freinds but seem to want to burn every bridge.. you seem to like to fight..you arnt fighting with me, or sarah..your really fighting with yourself..

Its as if your saying these uoc folk are my friends are my freinds not yours and seem bent to turn everyone against each other...set a little fire here, set little fire there and sit back and watch it all burn..you have a pattern of that,,we are all happy for doug and anyone with the club that wins...I got past the scotty -mikey thing in 6th grade..I was speaking for myself not ganging up on you..you were mean to me..it hurt my feelings..these ladies are nice people when somone isnt poking them in the eye with a stick..I wanted to be your freind..you just wouldnt let me.

I am a dressage person trained from early years.. the only person i compete against is myself..

I also want to say how horribly sad I was to go to jens house 3 days ago..and see her sons white orpington pens all empty..so to that I say congratualtions ...a good days work..being mean about a littl boys chickens...those people had a lot of money to spend on poultry and the entire industry..and wernt afraid to do that..they want nothing more to do with orpingtons ..that really beat me up inside..you do not know the affect you have on people..

All of your fights are with you not me. I never set out to do anything to make you mad or upset you..you could have told me in an adult mannor if I did something to make you mad..not a three ring circus.

Okay we had a break in the rain today so I attempted to get some pics. Please keep in mind the camera is old & the photographer is horrible. The 3 older pullets are less than a year old: the black is oldest almost a year,

This is Petti. I think her coloring is off an may have chocolate in it?



This one has better coloring & bigger head. This is Crisco.


The black: BB. I like her but this is old pics from the summer


Youngest blue pullet: Bebe. I like her too.


Bebe's hatchmate, Boris, the one who had a limp, He is better now.


These are the three cockerels I have coming up. Sorry but they are at the age where they think I am going to kill them if I go near them and are terrified since they have not free ranged much. The black is hiding in first pic and you can kind of see the black one in the second pic. The blue pullet is older by 3-4 weeks than the cockerels, her pics are above also.


Well these are my Orps. They are not the best, not the worst and I am happy to have them. This is the foundation I have to breed from. They consist of 3 possibly 4 bloodlines. I had a very rough start trying to get quality Orps and if not for a few nice people I would have given up on the breed. I may never show but I will try to make something with what I have. I plan on extending the same kindness to others that some in the Orp community have shown to me.

She's so sweet. She looked like a little bird compared to the rest of them. I think she'll be light blue when she feathers out!
