hes going to be beautiful legend..love to know how the lemon orp were created .right now he looks like white orp.

The Lemon Cuckoo colour in Large Fowl Orpington's was created by Bob Follows and has proved a very popular colour. It is one of the more delicate and difficult colours to breed.The hens are always the same colour and show an even barring of white and very light lemon which gives the most beautiful pastel shades while the cockerels can either be the same as the hen ( double factor of the Barring gene ) or a darker golden lemon evenly barred with white ( single factor of the Barring gene ).

This beautiful rooster came from Bob Follows stock - The top breeder of orpingtons - now retired - via only one of a couple of orpington specialists. One of my bloody hens sat on the fertilized eggs.
