Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Here's DD carrying her "baby" to bed. Because we live in a neighborhood, our roos go to bed in the garage & get let out after 8am. "Moose" hatched about 5.5 months ago. He still has a lot of filling out to do.

He's always been very leggy & that was the reason for his name.

His broody mama was our tiny, but very dedicated, Sebright.
Here she was trying to cover her giant 3 wk old chicks. She stayed with them for 7 weeks.

So cute! The lavender Orp cockerels I had in the spring were the sweetest, friendliest chicks I have ever had.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me at what age their Orpington roo started to crow / get spurs? And what their personality was like? We have one out of 3 new additions that we got in August that is looking distinctly rooster-ish these days & just started tring to crow... never had a rooster before but willing to keep him if he doesn't get too aggressive... will try to post a pic soon. Thanks in advance!
