I have a bunch of Black 3 to 4 month oles who look similar in the tails. I forwarded him a pic of one. Here is one, as you can see long don't look too bad.

Thanks!! Just looked again and the pullet definitely rides lower on the chassis but I dont think her legs are too short. A corvette! ha

Oh, I just love this thread! I think the Buff Orps are the most beautiful things ever! I'm a new chicken owner as of 2 weeks ago. The one BO I have is so far the least skittish and nicest to me. I can't wait till they're full grown, and all fat and fluffy and golden! Oh, and what I wouldn't do for a lavender!!

Same color as my dog. Maybe that's why I like them so much! A golden retriever chicken?

That's Little Red, and Big Red in the background. ( I know, really original names) They don't care for me much.

They are very difficult to catch on camera, otherwise, I'd have a lot more pics!

Yes I'm being very facetious!! My idiot blue-tick hound never deems it necessary to bark at the chickens until I'm in the coop trying to do stuff then she barks incessantly!!!! Cute flock

My Buff Orpingtons are 6 wks old (well actually the largest one in the picture is 8wks old) They still are a bit frazzled looking. 5 BO's and you might see a RIR peeking out among them.
