Thank you! They are such sweet things and spoiled too. They wait for me to lift them from the ladder to the perch and back off again in the morning. They are more than capable to do it on their own!

Newyorkrita.....they are some gorgeous babies you have there! Congrats! My orps are very sweet & gentle so I am sure you will enjoy them!

I just wanted to post a picture of our young (7mo. old) Bama cockerel that went to his first show this weekend (my first show too). He is one big boy but awesome to handle.

He got lots of compliments and we were very happy with the results and had a really good time. Julie just produces some outstanding Orps.

He is even more gorgeous in person

and that photo doesn't do him justice at all.

I wondered who owned him and where he came from. I'm not surprised he's a Julie baby
wink.png
- is he one of the English boys?

Thank you for the compliment on my boy, I just love to see him strutting his stuff out in the pen.

I take horrible pictures and they do look so much better in person. To be honest I don't if he is one of her English or not?? The lady I got him from had a group of day olds from Julie that were from her black pen and her blue/black pen....

I do have two of her girls as well that are just gorgeous. Both are very large and very different, one being what I would say looks American and one the looks English. They are both just about to pol and I can't wait!

An interesting looking Black pullet growing out. She is from the mutant BUSTOFF and a Black Orp pullet.
Sorta looks like she maybe a Mottled. Very lightly mottled. OR as they say in the UK a Spangled. Maybe she will finish out all Black. She better hope she doesn't cause there is little reason to keep her if all Black

The last of this years Buffs is there at her side. She likes to hide.

I think I now know what to do with this guy. He looks sorta like a cross between a mottled (Spangled) and a Silver Pencil. Seems like a good pair to start a Mottled (Spangled) Orp project. I can tell this boy is going to be big, so I should at least make some meaty birds if they don't make anything worth a darn

sorry i just can't get enough of my pretty Oprah - 8 months She's got the most beautiful green tint - she's so large she looks a bit of a pin head, but I'm sure that will change as her comb comes in...developing slowly

Check out her size next to this very large delaware
