Here is the blue, the middle one, inside but during the daytime using flash. She does not have good lacing, but she does have some, which isn't showing at all here:

Now here she is in a brighter (middle bird) setting but she's sort if in the sun and camera shaded:

ETA: They're, I think, about 3 months old here. The buff and the barred rock are fully grown. In person, she looks most like the middle picture, though you still can just barely see any lacing.

I missed having them in the flock so I got some lemon cuckoo eggs. The chicks don't look any different than regular buffs to me- I was expecting a head spot or something. Oh well- they're still cute.

No- lavender dilutes red so leakage would appear more of a pale gold. They just appear a bit sun washed though- instead of getting brassy like blues do the roosters get a buttery color on the old feathers.
I like all 3, but the last I am just guessing is the least dominant? He seems the most narrow in body, but Orps can take so long to fully mature. Still- I would keep 1 & 2 just because you already know they'll be nice and round.

Yes, # 3 is the least dominant and the smallest. Also the one I removed from the pen, though I'll probably let him hang out for a while to mature as he is also a paler shade. The 3 are all sun-bleached and #1 did have some gold showing prior to the sun. The hens didn't get this sun-bleach effect-why is that??

I don't know why- but only the shiny roo feathers seem to be effected by the sun in that way. I have seen blue hens get dull/brown feathers, but not as badly as blue roos. And white birds- only the roos getting yellowing. Its probably a texture thing. Like Renie said, there is probably a bit more to it.

If #1 had leakage before the sun (in juvenile feathering) then you should take him out of the breeding program as well. If your roos are clear, and you end up with offspring showing gold, then it may be one or more of your hens carrying it.
