Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

Jeremy, your birds are classic, stunning birds. you have done such a wonderful job. and i want galanis hen in the avatar.
i am a huge admirer of both you guys.. when we finish our chicken palace..love to talk to you if you ever sell any hatching eggs.

Thank you aveca. I feel like I've gotten really lucky with the birds that I have, I owe everything to Joy and Julie honestly. Without them no one would have these beauties.

When you're ready for eggs, let me know, hopefully I'll have my rooster home in a few months and I will be happy to send you some.

I agree with you, Joy. Ruth has very pretty birds, and they would likely do very well in shows, too. They do seem to fit the APA SOP pretty well. It is nice to see the size that is sometimes seen lacking.

Thanks Ladies. Most of the females I've posted pictures from are from eggs from Julie/Bama that I paid $150 a dozen for in late 2009 at which time they were advertised as being 75% and 100% English in the same pen so I'm not sure how they suddenly became un-English and American but I'll take a compliment where I can get it. The two young cockerels are their babies. I've also bought eggs from others who have bought from Joy and Julie and posted pics of those birds so those too should be 100% English shouldn't they? Over the past two years I've bought from many breeders who have beautiful lines of Orpingtons and worked to breed the best of the best.

So if I'm one of the breeders that others have said they know 100% for a fact that I don't have English Orps I guess I should start asking where along the line I got misled.

Good point! And I don't think you are somebody that is "in it just for the money":, or you'd be asking alot more. You are a farmer, through and through. I have seen your other birds via some other groups, and they are some seriously gorgeous, high quality fowl, raised in an idyllic setting. All of our animals should be so lucky.
I'd rather pay for that than I would for some English guy's name.

great birds jeremy. I think joy and Julie seiously have the top orps in this country with a few other breeders in here .pampered poultry hinkjc and others who have their birds in a collection..im gearing up for the hatching season right now. so making plans to buy some eggs. i am never going to be a breeder per say but showing them at APA shows around northeast.i will breed a few every year once i settle into it.just to keep a line going in case anyone needs to reclaim some stock. my freind bob whitney lost his best champion aussies one year to marauding racoons , he even had safty latches on his pens and cages that were hard for a person to open. but the racoons managed it..bob had to turn to some of the people he gave his birds to recover that line.he said he was glad he had good freinds to turn to.

the only ones i am going to breed this year are a very old show line of australorps .let you guys make some show orps...i will be.using a blk orp BV hen to east coast champion line rooster.it will take a little while to refine those. good aussies are very hard to find' and the breeders wont part with their show line pullets.blk orps are the breed that australorps were founded on.

we will be taking out the cockeral that we showed last year. but the blk orp pullet won BV she doesnt have to do any more.she can just hang out enjoy herself and lay eggs.

i will be looking for april sometime.

Thank you so very much. Your kind words mean more than you can know.

I can't speak for Julie, but as far as my lines go, it would depend on who you bought the eggs from and when as to whether they are 100% English from me or now. You can PM me that info and I can tell you. I have excellent records and I know every person and every date that I sold chicks or eggs to.
