Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

You are meant to give them chick crumbs till 6 weeks old, then you put them on growers pellets untill 16 week old then after that, layers pellets/ layers mash

I feed my chicks "just natural" it is a non-medicated chick food so there for if laying hens manage to get to it< it will not affect their eggs.

A pic as promised of the oldest White cockerel. Out of the first 8 Whites hatched this is the only boy. The next wave is 50/50

These are this year Single Comb White Wyandotte pullets to use. I plan on taking them to my Buff Sport cock that Doug hatched out of Joyce's line of Buffs which was given to me for "FREE"

Really nice tails

Hello I have a question here. I wanted to post a cute photo of my buff orpington just to try it out, but I can't figure how to do that here. Help!

A window opens after you click reply. If you have been a member long enough, in the tool bar will be a "photo". When you scroll over it the words "insert image" appears. Click on the photo icon and follow the directions. there is another way. Right click copy a photo from elsewhere and paste it in the reply window.

We feed Nutrena® NatureWise® natural poultry feed from Atwoods. Our flock does well with it.I prefer the All Flock for adults and the Starter for chicks.

Are you sure going with Wyandotte is best? Terry Britt and Steve Jones used a White Plymouth Rock to improve size on their White Orpingtons in years past. I know of several who have hatched chicks from Hincjc's White Orpingtons. These are excellent quality. There are more photos at http://www.hinkjcpoultry.com/

Here are some of Hinkjc's White Orpingtons:

Its my understanding that the Hincjc line is a composite of several old top east coast lines. Some of these old lines now only exist in this flock. When you look over their website it makes one drool! All of their colors are so nice with type etc. I know of several top Orpington breeders that have acquired hatching eggs from them.

Vickie, I agree with you! "Nice to see really WHITE Orps with correct white legs. Lovely birds."

I'd encourage anyone thinking about getting into US SOP Orpingtons to see both Hall Family Farm and HinkJC's websites. Lovely birds in different colors, but all the same SHAPE. I have 4 Ps from Halls, and 3Ps from Hinkjc, and I'm very pleased to have added them to my flock which also has English Orps. Those English Orps that fit the UK standard, are very similar to our best US Orps, so breeding for type, I'm very much looking forward to this breeding season.

Vickie, thanks for the endorsement.

Here is a photo we received this morning. Its from a buyer of our hatching eggs. Makes a fellow proud when folks raise our chicks right! This is a 100% pure Cecil Moore line Black Orpington.

Laverne Berg used Bob Coulter Buff Sports and Single Comb White Wyandottes. Paul judged them at the APA show in Iowa this past year and said their some of the best White Orps he has judged in a long time. Plus these White Wyandottes have Doug's White Rock in them. These birds in the pics daddy was Grand Champ at Greenville Ohio last year.
This is one of the offspring from my using the White Orp cock I got. That cock has some Ammarell blood and some Moore blood. But is Harry's line. I have been very pleased with what they are producing. And so is Walt.
