Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

16 Dun Orpington (with potential Khaki chicks!) eggs are going into the incubator today!

Good luck with the hatch. Should be some neat looking birds. Are these Orps??

I have just the Dun Birchen Orp project birds. I have just a trio of them. Don't plan of breeding them till next year.

My Buff Columbian project girl. Only have one. That must mean project hahaha

I have her in with my oldest Buffs and Whites

Few of the older boys. Early to mid March hatches

Harry's Dinosaur size Cuckoo line.

They range in age from 3 months to 5 months. I'm glad to see the mottling is more evident than I thought it would be at this age. It will never show up like it does on a darker bird, but is still obvious. I'm also becoming a fan of the nice white Orpingtong legs!

x3! Look at the bird on the left, she is just beautiful! Wonderful type so far.

Do these Orps carry 1 or 2 copies of the Mottling gene?

Va Va Voom! Beautiful

Thanks for all the nice compliments!
These carry two copies of the mottling gene, so ALL of their offspring (when bred together) will be mottled as well.
It's nice.....not only to finally have a full flock of mottleds, but also to see progress in type after hatching hundreds and selecting only a precious few!
