Post Pics Of Orps/ Orpingtons HERE

What a wonderful way to wake up. Your birds make me smile, Johnn!

My chickens will wait by the back door in the morning for me to go out and feed them. If they see my though the French door they will plaster themselves to the door looking in seeing what I'm up to and why am I not outside with their food yet. I think it's cute. My sister thinks it's creepy.

Pretty girl ! What line is she from?
Clevenger/Farthing I have 4 of these ladies. I have 4 other ladies about 10 weeks younger. I'm growing out 2 males but not so sure about them yet. One is big and one is very small and has been from day 1. He is a character though. I might have to buy some hatching eggs this Spring and hope for a good rooster from there.

Shes a real beauty Zooweemoma
Thank you so much.

To anyone- I have gotten to try a couple breeds now since starting out and so far the Orpingtons are just plain my favorite. I wouldn't call them pet like but they are really chill and calm. I would like to add either Chocolate or Jubilee to my flock next. LF Chocolate are hard to find though. Does anyone know how large the Greenfire ones are? (I know they are a bantam) I have a gorgeous pair of blue laced Wyandottes and they are itty bitty and I really don't want itty bitty Orpingtons (even though they are stunning).
