The new duck house and run (inside the run is currently our little "triangle tractor" for our broody hen)

We converted what was our now 20 and 14 year olds "treehouse" by lowering it, moving it to another location, adding a door (they had entered through a hatch in the floor) and remodeling inside.

We added windows ("last year's" samples from a lumber store -only $25 each and they're insulated double hung) The roost is 2x4 on side, dropping board under the roost makes the cleanup a snap

This is a picture of the run being put up. During the day the 15 chickens stay in the run, in the evening they get to roam the yard free.

Still have to get that roost picture!

Newchicksnducks...instead of saying that's a really nice shed for a chicken coop, I'm thinking "Wow...that was a really nice treehouse!" lol

A handy husband is a wonderful thing!

I hope I did that right, haven't tried to post pictures before. If it worked I'll have to have my dd send me the ones she took after the run was built (10x30') and the chickens moved in.
