I had to give my rambunctious 2 week old Barred Rocks something to do the other day in the brooder. So I cut down a box, threw in some alfalfa leaves, sand, and some chick starter and instant play ground!!

How many 2 month old chicks can you squeeze in on 36" of roost?! 13!!! What a riot! They'd jump up on top of each other to knock someone off to take their place. They're squeezed in! Wish I would have gotten a video of it!

[/IMG] went to southern states this morning and came home with new babies I wanted to of everything they had but hubby said no more. He sent me alone with 6 in mind and that's what I got its so hard to exercise self control. I have totally become addicted
