I separated out my broody silkie, as the last time she went broody I found a dead chick. So, Saturday morning I come out to check on her, and this is what I find:

First Day at Home--believe they are 2 days old here

We are brand new to having chickens. So excited! Here are our new "Girls" that we picked up Saturday: one Brahma, one Rhode Island Red, two Barred Rocks and one Buff Orpington. We aren't sure but think most are a few days old. The Rhode Island seems to be the oldest ( and bossiest, ruling over the rest) maybe a week old, they did not tell us....The Brahma is only a couple of days old and seems to be the tenderest.



All 5 taking a nap - the Brahma is on top of the Buff Orp in the corner...
