I am looking for ideas for coops/breeding pens for my Muscovy and "Swedish-Pekins" for next year. I would love to see pictures of all of your duck set ups. I'm pretty open to all ideas right now and will narrow it down later. but would love to see pics!! Thanks!

Mine is under construction at present but this is what is happening so far. I have 11 ducklings.

It is a 6'W x 8'L building, 2x4 construction with T-11 siding. I will add a window to both opposing walls on the left and the right.

The fence will come out and to the left then back into the trees and around to the back of the house itself. Their pool and such will be outside there. I will cut a duck door on the left wall leading into the fenced area...probably under the window area when they are installed.

Inside I have a shelf on the back wall...for storing extra heat lamps, bulbs and such for both the ducks and the chicken coop. I am just now starting the painting inside.

I will be sectioning off the first 2.5 - 3 feet inside the door for food and straw storage.

This is the lock on the door...a turn and keylock

I am also installing a barrel lock at the bottom for extra security and to avoid key locking it all the time.

I will update with pics as I go along.

Oh please do keep us updated. I've been thinking about just getting a shed and converting it since I'm having a terrible time getting help over here to build one. I'd like to see how yours turns out.

rainplace...I found this shed on craigslist for $400...the man built in and then had to move with his job. Great find because the materials would cost more than that.

I will do updates for sure. I am going to try to finish the interior painting today...need to find something taller so I can reach the 8' pitch inside. LOL I also bought a pond liner that is going down on the floor to keep moisture off the flooring. I hope this is all turns out well.
