Ground hogs

Ground hogs aren't a threat to your chickens (just your feed budget), but they leave a hole that a fox can fit through. I don't have a predator proof run, and the ground hog moves things that a fox wouldn't and leaves a hole that a fox can fit through. I've caught two so far. Pictures of the first one.

Maybe it’s now finally time for a skirt of hardware cloth all around the pen to prevent digging. Super cute groundhogs!

Ground hogs create an impressive tunnel system which can threaten a house's slab foundation. I'd make sure there's at least gravel around the people house, shed, etc and stay vigilant!

It was meant to discourage them. Come to think of it, ABC (mix of dirt/gravel) was no problem when they came to my house.
