Light Brown Leghorn pullet...very nice bird except she has a point on her (rose) comb.

On another note, does anyone know who's breeding show quality bantam white Leghorns? I'd really like to get some hatching eggs. Thanks~

I don't know about the hatching eggs, but your hens are very pretty!!!

This is our Peeper.
Our lovely big white leghorn hen.

700

[she's in the bathroom because we were getting her ready to take to the vets for her feet]

She's at the top of the pecking order in our coop, the biggest girl, and such a lovely lady.

Most of our chickens are a little skittish because my mum just has them for eggs rather than for pets, but Peeper is the Bravest, which is funny because the other two are brown shavers and there is also a gingernut ranger, and they should be far friendlier. we have one other leghorn cross who is basically a wild thing.

Ok not sure if I am in the right place - but could my beloved Rooster be a Leghorn or a Leghorn crossed with something? We live in Australia.

He is a gentle fellow and looks after the hens protectively but does not boss them around. And he's very handsome - even my kids think so.

Any response would be good. I am very new to chickens.

Cheers, Fiona

Hmmm I don't know, I am not very good with roosters, but I bet if you go to a breed and gender thread or start your own, someone could give a more precise answer. :D He's very pretty.
