That's a pretty girl!

Just for fun and informational purposes... Marans is always said with the S at the end even when it is a single bird. That is because they are named after the town of Marans in France.

This is one of my French Black Copper Marans hens raising Swedish Flower Hen chicks that she hatched. She was a GREAT broody, but alas too broody and went to a new home. She was also a great all around chicken!

My FBCM rooster, Nugget. He's such a good boy. Calls the chicks to treats!

All very nice pictures. love the black/copper Rooster. I had one almost identical to him years ago and was the best rooster I have ever had. He was not people aggressive, but super with the hens and protectiveness of them. And to me, he was just so beautiful. I want some chocolate eggs to go in my basket. This will be me when I get some. .
