He is a heirloom Bronze ? if thats so thats what i had and out biggest boy named MR Tom lol /
hes beautiful i miss our boys doing this just looked at your web site is that little guy that is posing like he is a big boy this same guy ? thats amazing

We were told they were standard bronze when we got them as 2 WK old poults....they turned out to be broad breasted bronzes. We were a little disappointed because we were hoping for poults come Spring. From what I am learning they don't typically breed well on their own because of their size. Our big guy Tommy is 7 months old and weighs in at 53 pounds. Yes, that was him strutting his stuff at 2 1/2 weeks :)

What variety of turkey is this hen?

This is my male turkey. i also have a female but cant find the pictures of her right now. My female is such a piggy and thinks everything i have in my hands is food. She ripped a bag of pretzels from my aunts hands when she was getting out of the car one day lol.

I agree..she's not dark enough. It's always hard to tell just by looking at a picture, but I raise bronze heritage and she looks like my girls FWIW.

The turkey hen laid her eggs in a nest where a Muscovy hen and a chicken hen were already setting. Nothing would convince her to pick a better nest. 28 days and several broken eggs later, I got three poults and one duckling, currently mothered by the chicken and the turkey hens...the duck gave up. I'm hoping I can convince the turkey to pick a better nest next time--it's not for the lack of nesting sites either!
