Here is baby "Nano", as a one week old duckling...this is a blue fawn Call duck pullet:

Here is Nano now as an adult, waiting for the judging to happen at a show this fall:

It took me three days to get Nano out of her shell and three days for her to get on her feet (with a lot of 1:1 nursing and feeding), so I feature her in a few places. I figure that her zest for life and sheer heart for survival has earned her a slot as one of my "poster children"...she's been pretty successful at the shows this year too!

amazing transformation that the mandarins make! those geese are awesome! LOVE the pictures!

It was pretty cool watching them day to day. 3 of the pictures are dated and the last 2 are of the same bird 5 days apart and you can still see a difference in his head. Next time when they start to change i want to try to get a picture a day and put it on a slide show.
