Vent gleet/prolapse/abscess? What am I missing

She had some blood in her feces through the day. I decided to do one last soak because she was filthy and thought it might relax her muscles. I gave her antibiotics, used a syringe to fill her vent with lubricant and managed to get the prolapse all in! Looks way better. She has stopped straining and there was no blood. I used the syringe to shoot honey up her vent too in hopes of shrinking it a bit as well. So far it looks great and shes more balanced. I blow dried her and hoping for the best. Maybe it will stay in overnight. The tissue on the prolapse seemed either scabbed or dying so thats my concern now. Her skin is still raw from the diarrhea but the polysporin seems to be helping that as well. I will continue to treat with tums and monistat & antibiotics

When she pooped it came out again. But torn? The dead tissue hanging off by a thread. it pulled off without even bleeding..I don’t think that is a good sign. Underneath was pink tissue though. The remaining seems to be staying inside

I would not inject anything into the vent since that can push fecal bacteria up inside the oviduct. But just using the polysporin or honey on the outside will keep it moist and from drying out. Since there is damage and blood, I would not try pushing anything back in, but wait until swelling has decreased when it should go back in. Pink tissue is a good sign of living tissue. Dead or necrotic tissue will eventually slough off normally.

Oops! I won’t do that again then. I thought it would be less risky then inserting and doing damage. I put some more syptic powder as blood picked up again from where the dead tissue came off. I put prep h on top. For now bleeding has stopped and theres no visible prolapse. Il see how she is in the morning
