my first chicken i got him at a poultry show, he was young, friendly, and fun to have around. i want to sell some of my other d'uccle mille fleurs a few months ago and the buyers came when i was at work and my wife and father-n-law were helping the buyers but they ended up selling the wrong rooster. they sold my first and favorite rooster and know i'm stuck with another one that isn't to friendly and not as nice looking. miss that little man. here is his pic.
This is Bobby, he has no dignity whatsoever - unlike Gregory Peck, who will hold a grudge if offended. He makes noises like a monkey when he's excited about food, also he can sound like a raven, or just a raving lunatic. He has almost no tail - again, unlike Gregory, who has a magnificent tail (maybe that has something to do with his dignity!) and I just think he's fabulous!
This was one of the most confusing roos ever everyone on here thought he was a pretty pullet for the longest time. I kept saying he was a roo I mean the size of his feet was huge. But being an orpington they take a long time to mature he was 8 months old before he got his feathers in to really identify him & that was about the time he began to crow as well. Here is a couple of pics that confused everyone.
