I like peafowl, Deerman, but they're really super loud, and I live in town. I'm pushing it with my 3+/- Serama roosters. Somebody sell me a farm in the Celina/Minster/Versailles area, and I'll get some!
Is anyone interested in a pair of Golden Sebrights? The hen is very sweet and quite nice. I raised her and she was handled a good deal by me. The roo on the hand is mean as a snake, not with her, but with me. He is very nice to her and I swear to you, he feeds her. Not from his mouth, but he drops food in front of her as an offering. In his defense he might do better with me in a less confined set up. They are in a cage right now and it's not a very good situation.
I'm going to be at the swap and I can bring them if anyone is interested in seeing them. The hen is my avatar.
Lilcrow, I might take the Sebrights if you lived closer to me, but I really don't need them.
I'm still preparing for the swap at Mount Hope on October 16-17. I'll be taking my young peafowl, a pair of very nice black Naked Necks, and lots of bantam chicks.
Still trying to decide what else should go because I certainly don't have winter coop space for all the birds I currently have. LOL
I still have the cream Brabanters. Would be nice to breed them, but I'm just not sure if I really want to.
Well, thanks for the reply anyway. It's nice to know I'm not shouting into a void. I really did think there was more interest in Sebrights. Goes to show you what I know.
