Owow! Ya know I never thought about maybe still asking even though it said sold on them already.My DH did on some but it was so crazy I couldn't keep up with it all.Plus we had all our kids with us and weren't planning on that.My babysitter made other plans at the last min

That's how it goes everytime.They enjoyed it though

Maybe just wrong incubator and or bad eggs? I had good luck with CJ's had a really good hatch rate just some were pet quality but he offered to ship me more out.I would try CJ for sure though.How far are ya from me? 43420

Still-air? I have a Genisis 1588 and hatched out 4 or 5 times from it.Only had from sassysilkies no luck for some reason.Tried 2 batches of hers and got 4 chicks out of 22 eggs!! Lost alot of money there

Not trying again needless to say.I hope to get a good silkie trio from a breeder and hatching our own out intead.I Love the splash

I bought 7 from sunshine silkies in florida. her chicks are soooo pretty.
pricey but hopefully worth it. i had to buy straight run so knowing my luck
i will get all roosters! LOL!1 died and 1 just dissapeared. I have no clue what
happened to it. it made me just soooo sick! so now i only have 5 left from her batch.
yep no more hatching for me. i am just going to stick with the chicks or birds from
now on. I think I am going to try and get some from Alan but i don't no if i want to
spend that kind of money yet. I like the splash too,and the blue, and the black,
and the white, and now the partridge!! LOL!
i got 3 out of Cjs eggs to hatch out of 14 and i got 3 out of 12 to hatch from
sweat and then two of his died a few days later. don't no what that was about so
yea im not goona waste my money doing that anymore!!

Yep I hear ya.I want to save my self the hassle and just start from the top.HAha! Spend alot for a good pair but it's well worth it in the long run.I found someone with 3 Delaware hens on craigslist..maken a trip tomorrow!! WOohoo! $6 each aint bad for 23week olds! It's an hr drive from me but I really don't care anymore I just want them!! I need a good roo now to hatch out my own!!

Nope they were sold there.My last ones.We aren't doing them anymore right now.I can't believe I sold them

I was really not wanting to but had to get serious with all the different projects going on it was overwhelming.They were my best ones to.Done away with the fancy birds and gonna just stick with layers.That's my top requests around here.

If I had known that evrything would be sold out in the early AM, I would have come earlier! Waaaa! It was a really really LONG drive from NY though. It was very crowded there!

I totally stink at hatching, so don't feel bad, you're not the only "chicken killer". I had six DOZEN quail eggs, I hatched TWO (not dozen, just two) and only one is still alive!

I thought there would have been more Silkies for sale too! I did manage to talk one of the show breeders into selling me their extra hen though. I need another white hen, and I would have loved to have picked up some replacement blacks, seeing as how the predators picked all of mine off!

I even had my husband build a new pen for the Sillkies, he didn't think it was important to fix it though while I was in San Diego for the rabbit show, and he let my last two blacks escape, and the Hawk got them! I said, hello, what do you think the pen was for? He was even letting them out to "play"... Yeah, I was not amused!

I also was on the hunt for a replacement Cochin, seeing as how the Hawk also got one of those (It couldn't get it out of the pen though. Its been a bad year for predators, I've shot two possums so far!) Didn't find any BBS though, so I didn't get any.

I did find two Ameraucanas of the "correct" color, since my BBS I hatched are, well, not BBS. Not sure WHAT color those blues are, it just isn't blue! The one hen did lay a lovely green egg though, I wish I had known that she wasn't laying blue eggs!

I would have loved to have picked up some Black Copper Marans, or Welsummers or Barnvelders, but I didn't see any of that for sale. I hate the thought of killing more eggs! :O

So, if we're doing "I still need" ads, I still need a white Silkie hen, a Buff Drake for my buff ducks, BBS Cochin hens. I have rabbits to trade if anyone wants, LOL
