Why is it when I don't need any roosters I see a ton of adds for them and then when I do need them, there isn't many at all?

Still looking for a Delaware,New Hampshire or Rhode Island Red, or EE Rooster.Anyone?

I have a friend who is trying to rehome 6 18-week old barred rock roosters. I hatched them for him and they are either pure BR or mixed with black star, red star, RIR or araucana but he said they look pure to him. Lives here in Lorain county so if anyone is interested, please contact me and I'll hook you up with him.

Mee too Catwalk, everyone and their brother is trying to breed them so fast and get on the gravy train.
I doubt there will be any at the ohio nationals, will be very surprised.
There haven't been any that I have seen.

Check eggbid, sometimes you can catch someones project work on their for sale, eggs or adults. not cheap by any means though.

hello,
we have 2 black jap bantam hens, 1 white silkie bantam hen and 1 white silkie/jap bantam rooster (he is a beauty). All about a year old and good layers. All healthy, they are kept in coop at night and put out in a chicken tractor daily. Will give them away if someone picks them up. We need the coop space for meat birds. We live between fremont and Toledo.
hope to find them a good home.

we live in sandusky county also and i pm'd you but will put info here too.
we have some white java roos we need to find a home for 4 of them, they are 3 months old. and our neighbor has some rir, and barred rock roos they may sell, about same age not sure exactly.
let me know if you are interested.
we need to find a home for some bantam hens and a roo too, know anyone who would want them?

Hey horsechick! I really want to make a porcelain cochin, so maybe I can use your millie fleurs? I have the buffs, and I'm getting lavender cochin eggs tomorrow. I'll have plenty with which to breed the cochin type back in. I am hitting the Darke County Fair on Monday I think, to troll for some birds there

. If I can't find what I need, I'll let you know.

Jesselynn: I have five chicks that came out of green eggs, and I am only certain that one is a girl. They have a couple different combs amongst them, only one has dark legs (the girl), and two of them sport cheek muffs. The only one I am certain is a boy seems to be feathering out a bit millie fleur. Not a lot of white, but very interesting. I am going to beg my neighbor for more green eggs tomorrow to see what I can hatch.
