Post your beautiful mutts here!

My votes are:
1. Romeo---cross between a grey and gold EE mom and a Buff Orpington dad

3. Juliette--- grey/gold EE mom and GLW dad

Oh sorry this isn't a poll is it? Just kidding. If I could add more to my existing flock of Easter Eggers it would be some that looked like these. Although I really prefer EE to EE matings so that they can be as pure as possible. I know that they aren't pure as in a established breed.

My new mutt girl. She has five toes and lays a cream, medium egg. I think she is so pretty.

No, in fact I posted a thread under "what Breed or Gender" to see if anyone had a guess. I think Wyandotte crossed with something, but I really don't know.

Most Easter Eggers people get from hatcheries don't really have either behind them. In fact, quite a few hatcheries simply carry the original Easter Egger stock brought to the US decades ago. And then there's a few hatcheries with Blue Wheaten Ameraucana behind them, but no Araucana. If hatcheries actually had Araucana behind their stock, you'd still see rumpless and tufted birds pop up. But I have yet to ever see such a trait.

That rooster in particular has duckwing genes, a common thing Easter Eggers have (but not Ameraucanas) He also has yellow legs and a very tall pea comb, signifying a lot of single combed parents and grandparents. Also, he only holds barring in his beard and tail feathers, indicating he's either got barred columbian in him or just partial barring, which means his grandparents or greatgrandparents were barred.

I have had rumpless show up when I hatch a certain one of my EE's eggs. She is supposed to be an Ameraucana and came from Ideal. No Beard, no tuffs, no muffs, no nothing. But she lays a medium Blue Blue egg. (That is when she is laying - quess she decided to take the winter off this year she's 3 after all). She has thrown 2 rumpless Roos that I did not keep.

Just saying.
