I take it they are in a shower stall. Thats very creative, I will get my wife's permission to do that next time.I'm a total noob! I just adopted my first batch of chicks so I am excited to post my first post here! Our little flock consists of 1 White Chantecler, 1 Lemon Cuckoo Orpington, 2 Lavender Orpingtons, 2 Ameraucanas, and 3 Rhode Island Reds. I am in Canada and where I live we have pretty cold winters, I did my research and these breeds should do great here. I have more chicks on the way too! 2 Beilefelders, 2 Copper Marans, a Maline, 2 Salmon Faverolles, 2 WCP Blue, and a gold lace and silver lace Wyandotte. It's a lot to start with but I'm also supplying my family and friends around me with eggs. They supply me with other stuff.
I have to say, the white Chantecler is the youngest but is so smart and has buddies up with the lemon cuckoo. It's so fun to watch their personalities!
