What is a legbar and rhodebar a cross between.

The Rhodebar is a cross between a Rhode Island red and an English Bressbar. I am not sure of the origin of the Crested Cream Legbar. These are Greenfire Farms breeds, if you check out Greenfire Farms website they have the breed description and origin of both breeds. They are both auto-sexing breeds. The Crested Cream Legbar lays the light blue eggs.


The photo on the left is of adult Rhodebars, on the right a pair of Crested Cream Legbars and the single hen is a crested cream Legbar ( notice the crest ).

They are growing so fast and they sleep a lot, it's the way that they sleep that cracks me up. At first I thought they were dead, they were laying so weirdly.




This little darling is one of my Favorites, she is clearly the highest on the pecking order right now. I hear that is unusual for an Easter Egger, but she is not taking any crap from any of the other girls that is for sure.



This Golden one is the next in line, and is the biggest of the bunch. Still don't know what she is, but she is very active. Seems to scratch at the ground more than the others. The Cuckoo Marans and the Barred Rock like to peck at the walls. ANY little speck!

I got two chicks like that and the Person who sold them to me said she got then as rare egg layers.. she also said she thought they were out of Easter eggers though :/

Holy WOW!!!! Looks like a zebra hatching..lol.. As soon as I saw the pic of its head I was all "I want one!!" Until I saw what it was..lol..I couldnt imagine the feed bill for a few of those, and I thought mine was bad..S/he is GORGEOUS!!!

Thanks lol. And I've herd they don't eat as much as you would expect as adults. Only about 1 1/2 lbs of feed a day. about the same as a tom turkey. Not 100 percent sure if that's true , but it was surprising
