Both of these, hopefully ladies, came from my twins' preschool. They got the eggs from a local farm that has purebred Ameraucanas. 20 eggs, 5 hatched, 4 made it - we got these 2 beauties! These are the first 2 chickens we have owned! They are now about 2.5 weeks old.



Since them we have also gotten 2 more chicks (I'm already addicted)! Top is an Ancona, bottom is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. 3 days old (when this picture was taken).


We are in the process of building these lovelies a fabulous home here in Sunny Southern California!

Possible I guess but VERY IMPROBABLE.

Yeah we thought so as well, standing guard over the remaining chick's until their permanent coop is finished.
