Damage is great. They say my dad has suffered several strokes in the past few weeks small ones yes but still. It has set off seizures and now he is aspirating into his lungs. Prayers greatly appreciated. Thank God I have a distraction set up for Friday. Between this hatch and my dad I would go crazy.

Im old and retired. As goofy says i like things "easy peasy". I may add an outside access for cleaning. I clean the coop with a pitchfork, tossing bedding out the storm door. Could be easier but its not too bad as is. Bigger door wouldnt hurt. Ill see how the run works and how fast it gets dirty. Maybe i should pop another post hole for a door post. I can steal one of my wifes grape trellis posts.......One thing that will help is to fix the storm chain so i can open the door flat against the wall allowing me to back the truck right up to the wall. Maybe a sliding barn door for the run. I made one for my white room in the barn, piece af cake

No silly questions. I've been messing with them for 5 years, raised some from our own eggs, fought with bad roosters and built several coops and i joined this forum to pick up some more ideas and i have and you will too
