post your chicken coop pictures here!

Show a picture of the water pvc please? I am using bottles right now but may want to go to something larger soon.
The waterer is the one on the left with the red vertical nipple in the pic above. Here you can see one of my hens getting a drink. As I live in Colorado I have a bird bath heater I put in it during the winter, hence the cords you see. This came as an accessory to the coop I purchased. It's made from 4'' pvc so the heater will fit. For some reason the last 6 to 8 inches is reduced down. Personally I would of left it all 4'' so the heater could rest closer to the nipple and help to keep it from freezing even more. If you would like more detailed pics perhaps I could take some tomorrow, it's currently snowing here.

And then on to the next item in the list that grew by 10 since you started this one ;)

Just got the suggestion i needed to start another project (extension of this one). I'm going to check if my current heaters will fit in a 4" pvc pipe? If so I'm going to train my chicks to use nipples. They spill more than they drink and even though i hang them as high as possible to allow them to drink, they still get the waterers pretty messey.

Just the floor and wall frames. I found my husband looking up ideas for enlarging the coop and building an enclosed run.

Well if he wants to make it bigger u better let him for all the chicken math

As I know all about in less than two weeks I went from 8 chickens to 15 and still counting

I used a nipple waterer last year, and I'm really looking forward to going back to it. thinking next winter a heated nipple water might be on the docket. So much less mess and you don't have as much spillage.

I used a 5 gal bucket but couldn't get it hung high enough to be useful and they still managed to get stuff in it so the pvc idea is very interesting. Just have to see if the heaters i have will fit. I have bits of 3 and 4 inch pipe to check it out. Pvc is thicker than a bucket so easier to drill and tap for the nipples and it's cheap and you can make it any size and layout you want. Been using plastic pipe for 40 years and i love it.

This Is My coop. I ended up using a headboard and footboard from an old bed frame, wood from another old bed frame and then some old wood to build this. It's not pretty like everyone else's, but it is all I had to work with for now. Built this in two days. Has a second floor just for the hens to lay their eggs.
