Looking really good
I'll be going in and getting eggs I'll also be adding sand to the run eventually I like the paver stone idea I'll have to do that it rarely gets down to freezing here or over 99 degrees there are vents and I may add a heat lamp for winter
As others have said, chickens in almost ALL areas need no heat in the winter. Mine see 0F a bunch in the winter. And -5F and -10F and -15F. Just keep them out of the wind. A few winters ago I had to have a heat lamp over their water (long story). Even the BA that moulted at the END of January, the COLDEST time of the year, did not go near it other than to drink. She only had about half her feathers. If they have a choice and don't hang near the heat when it is -15F, I am pretty confident they do not WANT heat. They fluff up just fine.

Lol it felt as if I should have it was a steal it was 50$ per 50 ft roll and I got 2. Good to know about heat the coop is good against wind I'm mostly working on predator proof.$50 for all that 1/2 hardware cloth? Were you looking over your shoulder as you drove off after "stealing" it?![]()
That is fantastic. Wish they did that around here. I think that much would cost at least a couple of hundred dollars.
