post your chicken coop pictures here!

I love seeing everyone's pics of their Coops!!! Ok, quick question on the openings we have cut on the North & South wall, when it rains since there is no overhang, it runs into the coop & gets the floor wet. 1 of the pics I posted shows the opening that's above the pop door & we have one on opposite wall also that is South facing. What can we use or buy, etc to correct that problem? The window that we put in the door is West facing & I am worried about the placement of the window & the girls getting a draft in the Winter. The other 2 "window's are above the roost, but that one worries me. I know we're needing to put some add'l vents in, we just haven't gotten that part done yet. They've been in this coop since June & doing really good so far, but I worry about the winter time & getting enough ventilation & then again anymore little vents we cut we'll need to have something to keep rain from running straight down the wall & into the Coop. Thanks for any feedback!!

If you can get an awning installed over the leaky places that would help a bunch ~ they come in all sorts of sizes/styles. That's what a family member of ours did to a window that leaked during rain.

Mostly they cruise the whole yard but we decided to add a run so we don't have to worry if we go away and someone's chicken sitting for us :)

Its a DIY coop. Serves me well on raising the flocks so far. Its not that pretty like the others coop in BYC, but suits the functionality to have :
- easier access to get the eggs at the back.
- utilizing the below area for the run. Just top up dried leaves to compost & reduce the smell.
- partition. Later I've partition the center section to have left & right wing section. Can raise up to 4 different small size flocks. 2 top-center for chicks & broody mama( 2 exit door at the left & right wing ). 2 low wing area for the free range flocks.
- better air circulation.

For the latest video & the flocks, feel free to go to the below link.Hope it helps you to come out with your own idea.

Very nice and very secure!

Nice looking coop, Peterr35. Got some shots of the other sides? Is the run covered? Your chickens seem to be hugging the shade.....maybe a tarp strategically placed in the run would give them some added shade?
