post your chicken coop pictures here!

I have white wyandottes and they are very laid back birds and very large/heavy birds. Not the best egg layers, and mine lay thin shelled eggs that 80% crack or pop a hole in the end when they land. Result i have a lot of eggs eaten by the birds if I don't get out there and collect them. I end up cooking them and feeding them to the dogs. The WW's are the original broiler birds produced for meat and eggs. as dual purpose.
I'd try giving your Wyandottes more calcium I know three people who get 5-6 eggs a week their gold Wyandottes I'm sure there are lots of variables

How is your dog getting along with your chickens?  I have dogs and am in the middle of construction of my 8x4 tractor.
i have female staffy whos fine with them but our brown staffy pictured likes to chase them up and down the pen.. Were hoping he will get used to them as we would love to be able to free range but for now there safe in thrre run

I have been wanting blue copper marans but can't find a breeders may try a friend a few hours away next time I head east

North wood Poultry has some blue coppers but there located in Florence Wi but they have shipped chickens to me across state borders so they probably will do the same for you but if they don't ship to you then they only did it for me because the owners are my Uncle and Aunt

I know you can't force chickens to eat more calcium or oyster shell to harden up their egg shell, but since I put out 2 more locations of oyster shell in the yard my Silkie eggs are getting firmer shells. They are silly little birds and an oyster shell dish at different locations reminds the little darlings, "Oh yes, I should have some of that!" It couldn't hurt to try adding a couple extra locations for at-will oyster shells.
