Well since I can barely fit in mine probably no horses.

I will check into that thanks. Can they eat it like sand for gritt?

I still have the run to complete. The girls like it. Spent their first night last night. One of the roosts actually swings a little. I plan on putting a swing in the run for them and maybe stabilizing the one that swings. Not sure if they like swings all night. I had left over stick together laminated flooring that I am using for the poop boards. I would say 90% is what I had around the house.

I use granulated Zeolite ("SweetPDZ"), a little more expensive than sand, granted, But along with all the benefits of sand it also  absorbs and neutralizes ammonia; keeps the coop smelling better (healthier for my ladies too!). You can get it at TSC, it's called "CoopKlean" and for some strange reason they usually keep it in the horse section, which is probably one reason why so few people here know about it, I guess.
I mean really, how many people here keep horses in their chicken coop?  :lau

Mine is actually called SweetPDZ but I know they do make one for chickens. Not sure why ours only carries that one. But it's the same stuff, different bag lol people mix it in with the horse bedding to make the shavings last longer I think
