thanks for the advice. i have some left over 2x3 welded wire and some chicken wire i will most likley use for cover... we will see

they loved being outside today 70 and sunny for the first time in 6 mths

Oh how I love happy chickens - they just LOVE the outside!

Omg this is a GREAT IDEA!

ROFL!!! What he/she asked was 'does anyone have CCTV?' ... Closed Circuit TV. I bought this setup and will have peace of mind that I can not only 'hear' what's happening in the coop but can 'watch' the ladies as well! Right now the camera is in the coop, but this unit has the capability of adding a second camera that I plan on adding for in the run. This will be especially nice during the winter snowy months and also for peace of mind in case an unwanted critter tries to get in!

Bruce, I had my 7.5' x 12 dog kennel with 3 ' 2x4" wire.  Topped with tin.  Last night I lost one of my white rocks inside.  Just one.  Feathers around.  I do have a 2" opening by the door.   I'm going to have a wooden door installed soon.  The top 3' is only kennel wire.  Could it have come through that 3' high or just through the door.  What's small enough to do that but only get one?
