I know it's important to have ventilation in the summer, how about the winter... gets quite cold.

You need ventilation year round. Maybe even more so in the winter to keep the humidity from building up inside and causing frostbite or freezing of combs and other extremities. What you want to try to avoid in the winter is drafts directly on the birds where they roost.

Our 3 day, very basic coop for our girls:) We just have a couple finishing touches before winter arrives! Tonight is the first night the chicks are staying in it. I feel so nervous!

I've got two kids... He knows I'll always cook food... Now I did go 2 weeks once leaving his dirty work cloths right where he dumped them....

it got filthy right next to his chair... And then there was the time I was sick for a week and in the hospital... I came home and wanted to torch the house...

Or you could do what my mom did when we were growing up. She checked into hotel for a week. Me, my brother, sister and dad actually figured out what she did. We got it and stepped in.

Yeah, but she's been nagging about getting the coop done for a while. And then when she gets started on it, that silly Auburn fan takes it apart instead of building upon what she's done to get it finished. Clearly he's not that smart, so he might need a little more whip than carrot to get the project done.

And what loving husband wouldn't enjoy his wife meeting him at the front door wearing heels and a whip??

You're making an assumption that she was expecting the husband when she opened the door...
