and the thread. With those woods behind you, I sure hope you're going to make a nice secure run for them! How many birds are you planning to house there?

I have seen a lot of people on here bury chicken wire Around the perimeter to prevent death from below. I buried big rocks. (actually stones for a fire pit I never built)

That picture was taken Before I finished it. And it still isn't. I am in the process of leveling out the out the stones and then putting 1" clean rock over the top of it. As a bonus I will have whats called a French Drain system, With out the perforated pipe, To stop water from running into the run. I may even put up a gutter and put the down spout into the drain.

Nice Are you keeping the coop as a dirt floor coop? Thats what I have and I love it.

This is my latest addition coop number 3 that will be home to 20 ready to lay white leghorn hens later this month

This is the POOP BOARD situated under the roosting perches, I have one in coop number 2 and it really works, I can clean the coop floor in 10 minutes

It' plastic comes in 8 x 4 sheets, it's normally used for roof covering for carports and veranders to allow light in

It;s called UNITECH and its not expensive about $10 a sheet, needs to be well suported because you cant walk on it, what I have done is 2 x 3's 1 foot apart with bamboo lats 1 inch apart I can walk on it

Coop number 1 this is how it all started

Then I added coop number 2 doubled the space and added the pen, coop number 3 is not complete yet I will put pics up when its finished
