post your chicken coop pictures here!

There is a ramp but I had it folded up

. Yes I love the little chicken faces that pop up when I come out the back door! If I have the ramp down (it is down almost all the time now) I can peek around the corner and they come flying out when they see me lol.

The coop was made by a guy who lives here in wa. He has some beautiful designs. I am not handy, but I didn't like a lot of the pre made stuff I was finding online until I came across this guy on CL. It's great! I will take more pics of my little flock tomorrow.

Love your coop (and the little chicken head). I live in Wa as well. What general area do you live in? I used a guy off of CL and am very happy with the results as well.

I am in Tacoma! I would love to move out to the country so I could have more chickens and some goats.

I love it... Just curious when I went to look at the big picture I couldnt tell how you had fastened the red and yellow wood panels together... It appears that they are wired to each other?

If they are this is how I want to fasten wood to my chainlink panels... Here in the desert we only need wind breaks and the occasional single wall to protect against driving rain or snow... When it comes down it comes down in a hurry.

Hi perchie - that's exactly what we did to our little coop to block wind on one open wire wall. We drilled 3 holes on each end of the plywood panel and then wire-tied it to the corner wood posts of the coop. It worked well as a windbreak from the southerly heavy wind gusts we get in our yard. We wired the plywood to the posts and not the coop wire. During the hot summer it can easily be removed for more ventilation or left attached for shade.

I'll do a full write-up when it's completely done, but here it is....so far. The siding is 70 year old bard wood. It's 8x10.

That is a beautiful coop.

I love the colors. Our first coop was done is reclaimed barn wood which I love. The new much bigger coop we are going to paint. I'm not sure what color we are going to use yet so if anyone has any idea's it might help me choose. Its hard to tell in the picture but the roof is red.
