post your chicken coop pictures here!

14 hens and my three holer nest box isn't cutting it anymore. I only have 7 laying and they will bug the crap out of each other while laying.

My holes are 13" sqaure as I have larger breeds.

This time i took a shortcut. I prchased a dark brown cube shelf by threshold from target. It is really well built. It was on sale too!

I added a back, front nest stops, and perches: all from scrap wood.

I needed to order more nest liners, will be here wednesday. The shelves come in twos, threes, six, or 9 and can be turned on the horizontal or vertical.

I thought I'd toss that idea into the fray!

I have 4 side by boxes, ~ 15"wide by 18" high with ~12" circular openings. I have anywhere from 5-7 hens in each enclosure (they are all set up the same). I routinely find all the eggs in one nest box, or two at the most. In fact some of them have taken to nesting in the shavings on the floor of the coop. I don't think it will really matter if you put that many more in there. They're like spoiled children and each wants what the other has as it's obviously better than any alternative. If the first egg of the day is a floor nest egg, I invariably will find 2-3 eggs buried in the wood chips in that spot. Just for ease and simplicity, I'd go with whatever is the easiest retrofit. Looks like what you have pictured with 6 boxes would be more than adequate.
Looks nice by the way

I had one in each hole today when my giant orpinton decided she wanted to lay. She didn't care that all the boxes where full. She just went from hole to hole to see which hole had the least angry carpeting, sat on the poor thing and laid an egg. Poor Lucy was squashed!

My nest boxes are easy to swap out. Built the coop that way. Lime swapping out one sofa for another.

Mine isn't finished yet. I needed to focus on functionality since I had to get the girls (and 1 boy) outside. I plan to expand at some point or build a 2nd coop, haven't decided yet. I wanted an 8wx8lx6h but it was more than I could afford so for now I have a 4wx8lx6h. In the pictures it kind of looks a little crooked but the building itself isn't (I used a level), the roof is tilted because I needed a water runoff. I built it myself with a little help from my ex (stuff I wasn't strong enough to do or couldn't do without help) and my son (he had a lot of fun). I took progress pictures all through it, but here are the pictures from today. I still need to make the corners look better, paint it, contemplating adding another window, fix the screen on the door, but it serves its purpose! The plywood is a temporary spot of shade. I need to do something else at some point.

I would put that sheet of plywood up on blocks or something inside of the pen. That would give them more shade through the day and also provide a good spot for your chickens to duck in under if a Hawk is patrolling the area. Plus, it would make a good spot to put treats up on, which could be handy when you need to catch a chicken.

Hey guys... I need help... Hen or rooster?

I need to know if this rascal should go into my egg coop or meat coop...

It's a rescue bird that the owner kept cooped up with 5 other birds in a tiny tiny TINY coop but will be coming to my home after quarantine time...
