Thanks if your talking about ours. We've been working hard on it. The 4x4 is done other than touch up painting to match the bigger on the 4x8. So out of the two coops ....How Many chickens can we have total?

Most recommendations are that you allow 3-4 square feet per bird inside the coop - this is for large or standard sized fowl. You can go down to 2 square feet for smaller breeds like bantams. The recommended outdoor space if they are confined to a run is approx 10 square feet per bird, again less for smaller breeds.

Sylvester017--We used hook and eye fasteners for ours. It doesn't slide around and is easily removed for cleaning. Not sure if it would work for your coop or not. It's pouring right now but when it lets up I'll go out and take a pic.

Actually it was one of our first ideas but couldn't figure a good way for it to work. We see gaps that might trap chicken toes so we keep working at it. We have the ramp made but are going to the Hardware Store for a cinder-block and we think it will work. We might even try a wedge top and/or a T at the bottom of the ramp to brace it. We'll figure something but keep the ideas coming. So far just having a heavier wider ramp is already a good start from the 6 inch skinny flimsy one that came with the coop.
