Welcome to the thread as well. That's a great looking chicken mobile home (or is it a "manufactured" home)!

Looks like it might just be a tad top heavy though, want to be a little slow cornering

Thank you, now I think is a little small, because now I what more chickens LOL.... I have seven and I'm obsess..... I want more :)

7 is a nice number - some are lost because of aggression and need re-homing, others die suddenly from unknown causes like strokes, some may need culling for deformities. But should your flock remain at 7 it is a nice number. The reason I say that is because if one gets ill it is expensive for vet visits and meds. You can't self-diagnose chickens accurately because many maladies share the same symptoms and only a vet can pinpoint the actual problem. Many times he's straightened me out about what I thought the problem was with my hen/hens. I don't wait any more - if a bird's symptoms don't get better by the next day we're off to the vet. Why stress a bird with self-diagnosis and treat for the wrong thing at home and the bird is still deteriorating. Multiply by 6 more birds and it can get expensive. Should a flock get sick all at once you'll be eating chopped liver and onions instead of Filet Mignon for the next 6 months after getting the vet bill.

There are easy preventative health measures against worms/lice/mites/scaly leg but for internal diagnosis or diseases it's best left up to the vet. Don't want to stress or kill a favourite bird by treating for the wrong malady.

I have a flock of 4 with 2 new egg layers next year and 2 more layers 2 years after that. Too costly should a bacterial infection or respiratory contagion spread through a large flock. My girls are spoiled with free ranging, yard canopies, shelters, doghouses, routine worming and preventative lice/mite treatments, scaly leg preventative vitamin E leg massages, vitamins, organic feed, bottled water, electrolytes and misters in hot weather, treats, etc, but they still can acquire injuries or bacterial infections. If there are wild birds in the yard they continually bring in bacteria and parasites.

Yes, 7 is a nice number to afford and keep the flock healthy.

Looks like they built it on top of a trailer. Pretty smart, some people probably start with a light construction in their heads and start adding on a lot and end up with a 3 ton shed they can't move. I started with the idea of possibly taking the coop with if we move in the future, but I'm guessing the next occupants will have to be chicken people as well... Unless i rent a construction crane =P

Thanks! Yes it's on a trailer that seems to be working out so far. May need the fork lift and construction crane to get it out of the barn we built it in haha!

12x6
That is awesome!  What are the dimensions? How many do you think could fit in there?
. 12x6 with 2 foot boxes so basically on a 12x8 platform. We're thinking 18-20 max. Potentially 9 boxes but not sure yet how we are dividing that up yet. Maybe less boxes and making them bigger.
