post your chicken coop pictures here!

Built this coop from ideas i got on this site. Used the money I made from making and selling maple syrup to buy the locally sourced wood form the amish. The wood is all hemlock and larch, any wood that touches the ground is larch the rest hemlock. The coop is 5.5 ' x 8.5 ' elevated 2'. The run is 16 x 8.5, coop and run have green steel roof. Thanks for all the ideas.

I want this coop!!! :hit. Our plan is a short 4'x8' coop on a 2' stand... It will be 3' in the back sloping to 2-2.5' in front for runoff. The roof will be in 3 pieces... A solid 2'x8' on the top and 2 2'x4' pieces below the fixed one set up on a hinge to flip up for easy egg collection and cleaning... I think we've decided on the nest boxes in back for safety with a covered area on either side for feed and water ... A poop catch will be located over the nest boxes with a long roost pole above it and a second roost pole across length of coop...

Love this! looks great! How many birds do you have?

Thanks for the kind words everyone! I have 13 birds, which I know is slightly above the space recommendations or 4 sq ft inside and 10 sq ft outside. This is my first time with chickens and I thought for sure I'd lose some chicks or get a roo or 2, but nope I ended up with 13 ladies. One of which, a rir, started laying at 19 wks, that was 8 days ago and we,ve gotten 7 tiny eggs from here in that time. Still waiting for the other girls to start.
