I have a question. I am having trouble getting my chickens to go in the coop to roost. It is a chicken tractor and the run is short so it is a pain to catch em and put em up there at night. Was wondering if I should put thier food in there? Anyone think that will help?

Can you post a pic of your setup...that way we can better see what you're dealing with.

Thanks for posting a pic...I agree that you do have a problem. Your 'run' is so short in height it's near impossible to 'help them' into the coop at night to train them that that's where they are to go.

Do you actually move that thing around? I don't know how many girls you have but it's pretty tight quarters. Do you free-range them?

If you could raise the roofline of that run up about 24" you could then put a regular-style ramp into the coop via a pophole on the side of the coop itself. They may acclimate to that better than going up the existing ramp into a hole in the floor. Would that be do-able??
