nice set up, wish i could put roof over my run, but it is way to big, like 60ft by 80ft we have 43 hens and 2 roos, we used 2 houses in summer but when it got so cold we moved them all in the camper coop, and they are warm in there, was in it yesterday to lay more pine chips, i would like to change the roosts, maybe this summer it will be a job.

ohhh I soo like your fence.. thats how I want to finish off my free range area.. I have to wait till spring though and a tree is removed lol anyways the area I do have set up for them for the free range is 20 by 50...fortunately even though I cant roof that kind of area there are several other tree's that the branchs hang across so it partially shelters from the rain..

Thats just the henhouse run.(in the picture). they have a free range area and door on the other side that they can access for the free range area...... Thats just to give them a dry outside area part of their henhouse....we get so much rain here it's nice to not have mud everywhere

the box between the 2 coops is a covered run, they can go from one coop to the other but for now it is closed at he 2nd coop, they can get into the run but not the other coop, it was just to cold in there and only 1 chickens go in it at night so we made them move, i think a few stopped laying because of the move, i found a tread that was talking about given then hot peppers, so i gave them the seeds from them i am going to try it for a week see what happens.

we have 3 acres and 3 trees which we planted 3 yrs ago, this was a corn field, and they can get under all three camper coop run and coop, but if it is raining we do not leave them out they have ground so clear all we get is mud hole and ponds in the holes,

ahh different area all together this is right along the edge of the woods and start of sloping area.......mud is such a pain lol
