I have 6 that i got from tsc 6 weeks ago...it now has a wire tunnel to an A frame so they can eat grass and not be bothered by the bigger birds yet.

Stunning! I love the tie beam like roost design, bet the birds do too.
If you haven't done so yet, cover the rigid insulation with something, even 1/4" plywood. If your birds are like mine, they will peck that stuff to death. I have NO idea why!

How old is the building behind the coop in the second picture? Looks WAY old with the huge door on huge wrought iron hinges the wooden shutters and the cracked plaster. Can I come visit? I love old architecture. Maybe you could post (just a couple

) of pictures of it.

Well momma hen finally took her brood outside for a new adventure.

I added the pin to keep them in one place lol.. Momma can still get out and others can get into coop for egg laying but littles are more or less in one area. Granted 1 still figured out that she can flutter up and out but I'm going to clip those wings today.

As for my inside crew...

They are now in upgraded rooms lol... Added a little branch and such so they should be happy.

Still deciding on best coop to buy. I was thinking the Rambler. Any reviews on that coop guys?

some people sprout sunflower seeds too... Alfalfa.... as well.

You just put the seeds in a jar and follow sprouting directions once they start growing a bit then spread them out in a tray

Yes. I've been sprouting seeds/grains for them since week two. I honestly just don't have the room for growing flats of fodder though.

The building is a PA bank barn from around 1830, gables and front walls are stone and the rest timber...I have a workshop in the bottom of it and use upstairs to keep stuff....I'll get some photos

That's amazing that your older hen adopted the babies.
Is there any way I can have one of my hens adopt my 6 2 week old chicks?
is there anyway to have the hens see them and see how they react?
