post your chicken coop pictures here!

Hello all… a shot of the full moon last evening that included my banty coop on the left and my big girl coop on the far right. Intended to capture the moon, but in doing so out my back door, I captured my coops in the early evening light. For those of you who don't live in/with snow for months at a time, just stay in and stay warm out there.

Best to all and your birds,

That is just gorgeous!!!! I was just trying to get a pic of the full moon rising over the trees and new snow a minute ago and my camera just couldn't do it.

Here's a few pics of my hoop coop today...

The great thing about a hoop coop? You just walk inside and grab the hoop wire and give a few shakes and that snow just slides off the sides and forms a bank at the bottom. Then there is LIGHT.

Blizzard of 2016.
This is a coop that I re-purposed from a playhouse that I bought on ebay a few years ago. The original builder built it all in panels that bolted together. I added an automatic door made from a car window motor on the other side, but I have deactivated it during the blizzard. The window that had been on the left side of the coop, was made into an access door to the nesting boxes.

What an amazing and beautiful picture. They are snug in there!
